Women's Fiqh
Islam is a religion that honors women. In the letter Al Hujurat verse 13 "Indeed the most noble among you in the sight of Allah is the most pious."
Being a woman is a trust, body, feelings, role and honor that Allah entrusted without purpose. Ustadzah Ain explains The types of blood that come out of a woman's uterus include menstruation, nifas, and istihadhah. This is a fiqh term for menstrual blood, postpartum, and disease. All three have different laws regarding worship.
Menstrual blood (menstruation) is blood that comes out of a healthy woman's uterus naturally at certain times (not due to illness/childbirth). In Surah Al Baqarah verse 222 explains "And they ask you about menstruation. Say: Menstruation is a dirt. Therefore, you should keep away from women during menstruation." and enter the mosque for a purpose.
Istihadah blood (disease blood) is blood that comes out outside the normal period of menstruation and childbirth (usually due to reproductive disorders or disease. This is in accordance with the hadith of Bukhari and Muslim which means "It is only disease blood, not menstrual blood. When menstruation comes, leave the prayer. When it is finished, then clean the blood and pray.”
Nifas blood is blood that comes out after a woman gives birth, whether normal or caesarean. According to the hadith narrated by Abu Dawud No. 311, it is considered hasan “In the time of the Prophet, women who were in postpartum kept silent (did not pray and did not fast) for forty days.”
In her material, Ustadzah Ain also explained the ethics of socializing with women of the opposite sex. In Islam, the focus is on maintaining personal purity and honor. This includes covering the genitals, avoiding khalwat (being alone together), maintaining politeness in speaking, guarding the gaze, not mixing, being alert to digital traces.
