From Bojonegoro to Gresik, a Journey Full of Faith Leads to Achievement: Parents' Touching Impressions at SMAMIO's Inspiring Memories 2026

Gresik - An atmosphere full of emotion and pride enveloped the implementation of Inspiring Memories 2026 of SMA Muhammadiyah 10 (SMAMIO) GKB Gresik which was held on Sunday (14/6/2026) at the Giri Loka Ballroom ASTON Inn Gresik. The activity which marked the end of the journey of the 12th grade students was lively, elegant, and full of meaning. One of the most touching moments in the event was the symbolic handover of students from the school to their parents. After three years of accompanying, guiding, and guiding students to the gates of success, the school symbolically returned the trust to the family. This moment symbolizes that the students have completed an important phase in their lives and are ready to continue their journey towards a brighter future. Not a few parents were seen shedding tears of emotion. They witnessed their sons and daughters who once came as teenagers with various dreams, now growing into more mature, accomplished individuals, and ready to face the challenges of the future. One of the deep impressions was conveyed by Mrs. Husnul Khotimah, the mother of Hanum Ahsana Maswai, a grade XII-3 student from Bojonegoro. With gratitude, he recalled his family's journey of entrusting their daughter's education to SMAMIO GKB Gresik. "We come from Bojonegoro. The long distance was not an obstacle for us to send Hanum to SMAMIO. We even entrusted Hanum to the Al Mizan Dormitory because we believed this school was able to provide the best education for our child," he said. This decision, according to him, proved to be the right choice. During her education at SMAMIO, Hanum received guidance that not only focused on academics, but also character building, spirituality, and self-potential development. "What really impressed us was the attention of the teachers. They not only taught in class, but truly accompanied and guided the children like their own family. When children experienced difficulties, teachers were there to provide solutions. When children had potential, teachers helped develop it. This kind of guidance was extraordinary," she said. The results of the process were also encouraging. Hanum was successfully accepted into Airlangga University (UNAIR) through the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) pathway, one of the highly competitive pathways to enter state universities. "Alhamdulillah, Hanum was accepted into UNAIR through the SNBP pathway. We as parents are certainly very grateful. This success is not only the result of our child's hard work, but also the fruit of the extraordinary guidance and support provided by SMAMIO so far," she said. Furthermore, Mrs. Husnul expressed her high appreciation for the education system implemented at SMAMIO. According to him, this school has the quality that deserves to be an inspiration for other schools in various regions. "In my opinion, SMAMIO is a very extraordinary school. This school can be an example and inspiration for other schools, not only in Gresik, but also at the provincial level and even throughout Indonesia. I see how the school really focuses on student development, not only chasing grades, but also shaping their character and future," he said. The Inspiring Memories 2026 activity itself provided a very memorable experience for parents. A series of events that were professionally packaged created a warm, appreciative, and inspiring atmosphere. Starting from student performances, screening of three-year journey videos, achievement awards, reflections on educational journeys, to the symbolic procession of handing over students to their parents, all were able to bring a sense of pride and emotion. Each session seemed to remind us that education is not just about the end result, but about the long process we go through together. "Today's event was truly extraordinary. I was very inspired to see how the school appreciates every student's struggle. Everything was packaged very well and touched the heart. Not only did the students get the lesson, but we as parents also got a lot of inspiration about the importance of synergy between school and family in accompanying children to achieve their dreams," he said. He also admitted that he brought home many valuable lessons from the activity. "I got a lot of inspiration today and God willing, I will bring it back to Bojonegoro. In his material he said: "When we commemorate the event of the Hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, we are not just remembering the physical traces of the journey from Mecca to Medina. More than that, hijrah is a symbol of the transformation of civilization and mental revolution, including in the world of work ethic." He then linked the meaning of hijrah with professional life in the educational environment.

I saw how communication between the school and parents was built very well. I saw how the school "We are seriously preparing for the future of our children.

I saw how communication between the school and parents was built very well. I saw how the school "We are seriously preparing for the future of our children. I believe these are the kinds of things that we need to emulate and share so that more Indonesian children can receive a quality education," he added.
