Public Relations

SMA Muhammadiyah 10 (Smamio) GKB Gresik held a Ramadan study session for 11th graders. The event, titled "Achieving the Glory of Ramadan," was held at the Al Mizan Smamio Mosque. The resource person for this event was Ustadzah Dra. Luluk Dyah Hermiati, a teacher of Al Islam and Muhammadiyah at Smamio (2/25/2026).
In her material, Ustadzah Luluk conveyed discussion points including how to prepare for Ramadan worship, apply Ramadan worship tips, understand the glory of Ramadan, and fill the month of Ramadan meaningfully.
"The glory of Ramadan lies in its position as a holy month full of blessings, where the gates of heaven are opened, the gates of hell are closed, and the devils are tied. Ramadan is the month of the revelation of the Qur'an, has the night of Lailatul Qadar which is better than 1000 months, and a time of forgiveness of sins and multiplication of rewards for good deeds," said Ustadzah Luluk.
He invited students to read Surah Al Baqarah verse 185. Next he explained about the obligation to fast during Ramadan, the importance of this month as the time when the Al-Qur'an was revealed (as a guide and distinction between falsehood), as well as relief (rukhsah) for the sick or travelers to change it to another day. Allah wants it to be easy for His servants to be grateful.
There is also an explanation of the special relationship between the Koran and Ramadan, namely that the Koran was revealed in the month of Ramadan, especially the night of Lailatul Qadar, making it the noblest month. Ramadan is the time when the Koran was revealed as a guide for humans. Ramadan is the "Month of the Quran" (Syahrul Quran) because in this month the Quran was first revealed.
"In the holy month of Ramadan there is one night that is better than a thousand months, namely the night of Lailatul Qadar. It is recommended to increase worship to Allah SWT. Because on that night all prayers will be answered and all sins will be forgiven by Allah SWT," he said.
Ramadan is a golden opportunity to erase small past sins and purify the soul because Allah opens the door of mercy as wide as possible. The guarantee of forgiveness is also in this month. The Prophet said that whoever fasts Ramadan because of faith and hopes for reward, then his past sins will be forgiven, not just covered up. The way is by fasting, tarwih prayer, Tadarus Al Quran, almsgiving, and i'tikaf is the way to achieve His forgiveness.
"People who are at a loss are those who enter the month of Ramadan but leave without receiving Allah's forgiveness. Therefore, make the most of it by seeking forgiveness, forgiving others and returning to fitrah," he continued.
In addition, there are also important practices. Sharing in the month of Ramadan is a noble practice that is highly recommended, has a multiplied reward, erases sins, and strengthens social solidarity.
